Interesting facts:
- Walt Disney wanted all the kids on the show to be "regular kids" not actors so he searched through schools looking for those kids with a special spark
- Everyday of the week was a different theme for the show, Monday was "Fun with Music", Tuesday was "Guest Star", Wednesday was "Anything can Happen", Thursday was "Circus, and Friday was "Talent Round-up."
- The show ran for 3 years producing 360 episodes.

In the 1950's about 95% of homes had TV's and TV's were the most popular form of entertainment, The Mickey Mouse Club was a long-running TV show that aired on October 3,1955 and created by Walt Disney. The featured a changing cast of teenage performers. The show was a hit and helped finance the Walt Disney Theme Park in Orlando, Florida. The show featured a newsreel, a cartoon, as well as music, talent, and comedy. All the kids on the set went to school five days a week and worked for six days a week and Sundays were performance days, they didn't have it easy! Jimmy Dodd was the host of the show for the whole three years which the show ran, Jimmy Dodd also wrote the shows theme song. Though the show was still popular, after airing for four seasons or just about three years ABC decided to cancel the show. Disney and ABC could not come to terms for renewal.
